Abstract
Three hundred ninety five (395) diseased cases of house reared chickens of different ages were diagnosed in the period October 2005 to September 2006. Newcastle Disease was the most important viral disease with a high percentage of (39.5%). The incidence of other diseases were as follow: Fowl pox (15.2%), Air sacculitis (4.5%), Necrotic enteritis (3.8%), Bumble foot (7.1%). Parasitic infections manifested in chickens as internal parasites (10.4%), Coccidiosis (3.8%), ectoparasites (10.9%) and Candidiasis (3.3%). However low incidence with Fowl cholera (1.5%) was recorded.
