Abstract
A preliminary study was conducted on the effect of aqueous extract of the seeds of the plant of Hermel (Peganum harmala L.), on the blood image in the white rats of both sexes. No toxic symptoms were observed on animals throughout the trial period, as there was no effect on the amount of hemoclopine, percentage of accumulated cell size, white blood cell count, blood disks, discriminatory white blood cell count, and red blood cell shape, compared with control animals. The importance of the current results was discussed.
